goodbye, goodnight tour
This fall, MAE is hitting the road for their “Goodnight, Goodbye” tour,
possibly their last tour for the foreseeable future. Reuniting with MAE on
the tour will be former band members, Mark Padgett and Rob Sweitzer. And
supporting MAE on their last tour will be Terrible Things and Windsor Drive.
MAE, which stands for Multisensory Aesthetic Experience, was founded in 2001
by vocalist and guitarist Dave Elkins and drummer Jacob Marshall. Its first
album, Destination: Beautiful was released in 2003 by Tooth & Nail Records.
The band has played on the Warped Tour and on the Virgin College Mega Tour
with bands Over It and Yellowcard. The band released Singularity, its latest
album, in the summer of 2007 under Capitol Records. In 2009, Mae started a
campaign for Habitat for Humanity: “12 Songs. 12 Months. 1 Goal. Make a
difference.” Mae is recording one song a month throughout 2009, streaming
each for free on www.whatismae.com, and selling them for a $1 minimum
donation to Habitat for Humanity. And as a result of their campaign, MAE has
raised $66,615.31 for their charity.
On this last run Mae will be accompanied by Terrible Things (featuring Fred
from TBS, Josh from Coheed and Andy from Hot Rod Circuit), Windsor Drive and
a local artist to be announced shortly.
“Please, please, please come and join us for "Goodbye, Goodnight" so that we
may thank you for the most incredible eight years we've had together.”–MAE
