The Complete Works for Cello and Piano

jeffrey kahane, piano and andrew shulman, cello

Two of today’s most acclaimed soloists join forces for a rare treat—Beethoven’s complete works for cello and piano, a collection of stirring sonatas written for two instruments rarely paired together. American Kahane, the current director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra [LACO], won the 1983 Artur Rubinstein Competition in Israel, while UK-born Shulman, currently principal cellist with LACO, was the first British winner of the United States Piatigorsky Artist Award. Now these musicians bring the complete Beethoven cycle to San Diego in their ArtPower! debut.
