  <description>The WSET Intermediate Certificate is intended as vocational training in product knowledge for those employed in
the drinks industry who have little previous knowledge of wines and spirits.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
The course is also appropriate for those not employed in the drinks industry but who have a serious interest in
wine, and wish to broaden their knowledge in a structured way.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
The Intermediate Certificate course covers the wines and spirits of the world and is followed by a one-hour
multiple choice examination. Wine tasting is a part of every class.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Course Programme&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
&#176; Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting and food and wine matching&lt;br/&gt;
&#176; Grape growing and wine making&lt;br/&gt;
&#176; Key wine and spirit producing regions&lt;br/&gt;
&#176; Key grape varieties:
Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon,
Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Grenache&lt;br/&gt;
&#176; Sparkling and sweet wines&lt;br/&gt;
&#176; Fortified wines plus spirits and liquers.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Course Schedule&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
Classes will be held during October and November for 7 weeks plus an additional exam date.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
Class 1 begins on January 16th from 9:30am-1:30pm&lt;br/&gt;
Class 2 is January 23rd from 9:30-11:30am&lt;br/&gt;
Class 3 is on January 30th from 9:30-11:30am&lt;br/&gt;
Class 4 is on February 6th from 9:30-11:30am&lt;br/&gt;
Class 5 is on February 13th from 9:30-11:30am&lt;br/&gt;
Class 6 is on February 20th from 9:30-11:30am&lt;br/&gt;
Class 7 is on February 27th from 9:30-11:30am&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
