Dime Storiesdime offDime-Offs are the newest editions to the DimeStories family. DimeStories are 3-minute stories read by the author. Dime-Offs are micro-story smack downs. Put up your dukes and see who has the best story each month. How is something so subjective judged, you might ask? Each story is written to the same theme. The themes are posted in advance for the upcoming months. The readings will be judged by audience peers based on story quality, performance, and sticking to the theme. Of course, as with all DimeStories, they have to be under 3-minutes (about 500 words). Going over time will cost you. If you don’t have the gumption to read, but like to judge other people, volunteer the evening of, and we’ll supply you with an official clipboard. For readers, there will be prizes. We won't tell you what they are though, it would ruin the surprise. This weeks themes are "Unwelcome Guests" and "Allergies" so get pen to paper and join us! |
