Exploring the avant-garde through several genres, these concerts are a great opportunity to experience music on the cutting edge of innovation. The Contemporaneous Ensemble is a 10+ ensemble of acoustic and electronic instruments that has been working and rehearsing diligently with Fritz Lang's Metropolis, a 1927 silent science fiction film, to build an intimate relationship with the director's work. The ensemble consists of an amazing group of accomplished performers from all over the United States, Canada, and Iceland, and with different musical and artistic backgrounds.

This is the first film in a new series of films with live music.
