ArtPower! Film is extremely excited to present the first UCSD Up&Coming Film Festival Submission Workshop, led by instructor Larry Zeiger, award-winning writer, director, educator and jury panel member of high profile international film festivals.
The Workshop
Mr. Zeiger will show examples of films to illustrate the variety of genres of film submissions–dramas, comedies, PSAs, documentary, Avant-Garde, Music Videos, etc. He will also discuss the opportunities for filmmakers to build their resume, as well as internships.
This workshop is designed to assist the UCSD student filmmaker in submitting their film in a professional manner to the UCSD Up&Coming Student Film Festival ’10 as well as local and international film festivals.

Larry Zieger
Hundreds of Larry’s students currently have successful careers in film, theater, music and television. Mr. Zeiger has been an educator in Cinema Arts, Musical Theatre, and Language Arts for over 33 years at Point Loma High School and has taught nearly 7,000 students. He has directed and co-authored 31 original musicals as part of the Gotta Sing Gotta Dance company which was the longest running musical theatrical group in San Diego County Schools, and possibly the only program of its kind in the United States. He has received recognition from former President Bill Clinton, Senator Diane Feinstein, Oscar winner Cameron Crowe, Oscar/Emmy winner Joe Hutshing, and actress Marion Ross.
Mr. Zeiger will also be a jury panelist for the 3rd Annual UCSD Up&Coming Student Film Festival.
